Top 5 Skincare Products

With Priceline hosting 40% off today, I thought it was the perfect time to share my Top 5 Skincare picks (most of which you can buy at Priceline today!). I don’t have a crazy routine in place, and while I do like to mix a little higher end products in from time to time, the majority are affordable and can be found at the local drugstore. I thought I would combine my Top 5 Skincare products that I really find myself reaching for over and over again.

I first purchased Bioderma Micellar Cleansing Water (RRP $29.99) back in October 2012 and I haven’t looked back. Well, there was a short time when I was using the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (RRP $7.95) – which comes very close, but Bioderma always remains close to my heart. After extended use, I found the Garnier version just wasn’t as effective in removing eye makeup as the Bioderma. I use this daily, but I am currently using up the Garnier version as well.

I am pretty new to the serum scene, and only have really been using one or two for as little as 12 months. The Indeed Laboratories Hydraluron Moisture Booster* (RRP $34.99) is by far the best serum I’ve used (of the few I have tried) and it really encourages your moisturiser to be soaked up by your skin. I think I have noticed a different in my overall skin health and hydration. I have just used up this tube and while I wanted to repurchase it, I also wanted to try it’s brightening sister Pepta Bright (also by Indeed Laboratories) so you can expect to see a review up about that one soon!

I have been using the Nivea lip butters since their release last year, but the new flavour in my collection Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose (RRP $5.69) is simply divine. It’s an awesome night time lip cream to really nourish the lips and ensure that they are baby smooth come morning. I have had no problems with flaking or chapped lips since using this product. The light, fruity/floral scent is amazing too!

I reach for Philosophy Hope in a Jar* (RRP $45.00) so often, but it was a tough choice between this one and People for Plants Night Cream*(RRP $29.95). I think this one is more hydrating and feels just so much lighter on the skin – it’s kind of like a whipped little miracle inside the jar I have never been much of a ‘moisturiser person’ but this makes it such a treat!

I recently finished up the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo* (RRP $27.95) and I am beginning to feel the pinch without it! You can wear the Effaclar Duo under your makeup to help fight nasties during the day. I have ordered my new tube of this to come from Priceline, although I believe it is the Effaclar Duo +, so I will find out soon enough!
