Top 3 Makeup Must Haves for Travel

With long hikes, walking around cities, swimming and a heat wave, going outside with a full face of makeup everyday is not only silly, but it’s counterproductive (especially in the current heatwave in Europe!). Here are the three makeup items that have been my daily go-to look. Three, I know! Just to clarify, at night time I still love wearing eyeshadows, lipsticks and more. But during the day, this trio gets me by.

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream in Light (RRP $15.95) has been a great way to cover pesky spots and uneven skin tone. I think I could probably use the medium shade right now considering I’ve gotten a tan, but used sparingly, it still looks natural.

Benefit Bene-tint (RRP $55.00) is a great multi-use product for giving colour in the cheeks and lips. Barely a day has gone by (even ‘makeup-free’ days) where I don’t reach for this. It’s such a subtle change, but really makes me feel refreshed and ready to take on the day. Mine is a mini-size from a kit, but I can see myself repurchasing a larger size on this trip when it runs out (or perhaps Posie-tint, which I love as well).

Another Benefit product, Benefit Roller Lash Mascara* (RRP $40.00) (review here) has been a lifesaver, and has negated the need for me to bring an eyelash curler on this trip. Any product that lets me leave things at home is a winner in my book! Using mascara also really opens up my eyes and makes me look more awake! When they (hopefully) create a water proof version of Roller Lash I think I might die of happiness.
