Moisturising Banana Mask

  • 1 medium sized ripe banana
  • 1/4 cup natural yoghurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Mash up the banana with a fork to get it to a smooth paste consistency. Add yoghurt and two tablespoons of honey for antibacterial properties (great for acne prone skin). Bananas protect our skin from free radicals and help slow down the aging process, and are choc full of vitamins great for the skin like Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin E & Potassium.

Apply to your face with fingers and relax for 15-20 minutes. Wash off and pat face dry.

Egg White Pore Tightener

One of the EASIEST and best face masks you can do! All you need is an egg, a bowl and a fork! Carefully separate the egg so the white goes into your bowl and either save or discard the yolk. If you require moisturisation in your skin, keep the yolk for a different kind of face mask.

Beat well (with a fork) until the egg white is foamy. Apply to your face with a foundation brush and relax for 15 minutes. You should feel the mask tightening up your pores. Wash off and pat face dry. Be sure to wash off with cool or tepid water, as hot water and egg is going to get scrambled!

AHA Strawberry Face Mask

  • 5 fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup of natural yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons of honey (optional)

Mash the strawberries up with a fork in a bowl. Add the honey and yoghurt, and mix until combined. Apply mixture on your face with fingers or an old face brush. Relax for 15 minutes. Wash off and pat dry. Strawberries contain Alpha-Hydroxy Acids, which are a great chemical exfoliant for your skin.

All of these masks are super easy to make and give you that pampered feeling without breaking the bank! I always follow up with a serum and moisturiser.
