Ensuring you have a great makeup remover is important at any time of year, but in the cooler months I tend to opt for a cleansing oil or balm, where as in Summer I favour cleansing waters for a fresher finish. I’ve been loving the Trilogy Makeup Be Gone Cleansing Balm (RRP $36.90) for taking off my makeup, as it literally dissolves it right off my face! I have no idea how it works so well, it’s amazing.
After removing the makeup with a face cloth, I follow up with the People for Plants Cleanser and Makeup Remover (RRP $24.95). While this one doesn’t do much for me in removing makeup, it’s such a lovely cleanser to use, smells amazing and leaves my skin feel awesome, not stripped of it’s oils, but still clean. I like to use it with my new Remington Facial Cleanser (RRP $99) with the Sensitive Brush Head attachment (review soon!) every two days or so to really give my skin a pamper. It’s a creamier consistency than I usually use in Summer so it’s a bit more hydrating than a regular foaming cleanser.
I also have been keeping up with chemical exfoliation by using John Plunkett’s Glyco Peel (RRP $30.00) for one week, and then giving my skin a break for one week (as per instructions). Chemical exfoliation is so important for turnover of cells to keep skin looking fresh in the duller months.
Every week (usually Sundays!) I love using the Trilogy Mineral Radiance Face Mask (RRP $29.99). It deeply cleanses the skin further, energises the skin, and purifies. It’s a great charcoal mask, which are so popular right now, and it doesn’t get too dry or cracked like others
I also love using the massage head attachment on the Remington Brush to apply my Natio Renew Soothing Serum (RRP $26.95), to really get the product soaked in, and also to rejuvenate and plump my skin. This serum contains plant peptides, jojoba, moringa butter and fennel. Delish!
Lastly, it wouldn’t be wise to skip moisturisation in the chillier months! I’ve been loving the Nuxe Créme Prodigieuse (RRP $44.99) which is such a luxiourous moisturiser, smells amazing soaks in delightfully. Say what you will about the French, they know their skin care!
