I’ve been all about skincare lately. And while I am still using the Skinstitut range every day, there are a few other favourites that I’ve been trying that I really love! The Auriginals Tea Tree Oil (RRP $15.99) is a great products for so many ailments, but have been mainly using it as a spot treatment for pimples. I’ve also used it on a few dry spots appearing on my scalp in the cooler weather which has been a lifesaver.
A few old favourites that I have repurchased are Lush Big Shampoo (RRP $27.50) and Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub (RRP $9.95). This shampoo makes my hair so voluminous and I love the scrubby salt and scent of this one. I’ve almost finished it and definitely keen on repurchasing again! The lip scrub is something that always makes me feel extra polished, and this one is a minty fresh taste that leaves your lips smooth and hydrated.
Another Lush favourite is Lush Dream Cream (RRP $29.95 240g) which is super soothing for the skin. It contains oat milk, rosewater and chamomile blue oil, all very calming for the skin. I’ve been loving using this right before bed as we come into the cooler months. It also smells delicious which is an added bonus.
If you read my last post The April Edit – REAL TALK // acne + depression, you’ll know that I have been having episodes of anxiety lately, which is not fun. I’ve been using Doeterra Balance Oil (my sister is a Wellness Advocate – you can check out her helpful Facebook page here!) to help calm my nerves. I find it really helps calm me down, and smells amazing.
A recent favourite that I can’t get enough of is Earth Mumma Pit Paste (RRP $12.95 full size), a sample from the March Good Green Box. This is a natural deodorant paste that has been rivalling my normal favourite natural deodorant from Moo Goo. If you’re on the hunt for a new natural deodorant, definitely give pit paste a try!
Next up, I haven’t been wearing all too much makeup in March and April, so I’ve been keeping my routine pretty simple. A few favourites I can’t get past though are these two eyeshadows from Colourpop (shades Sunset Blvd and Wilshire from the KaePop collection – RRP $18.00 for set of 4 eyeshadows). You can see I am really hitting pan on Sunset Blvd!
I’ve also been living for Young Blood Mineral Lengthening Mascara (RRP $48.50) which is one of the best cruelty free mascaras I’ve come across so far! I just bought a new one that I am currently trialling so hopefully will be doing a review on that one soon too!
After Dani and I went to Japan in February, I was pleased to find out one of the popular makeup brands in Japan are cruelty free (and don’t sell to China!) – so I’ve been loving the Canmake Lip Tint Jam in Cherry Jam (¥650) and the Pore Wrap Gel (¥600). I just recently discovered that they have begun selling Canmake in W Cosmetics stores as well, so if you are interested you can check them out there (if you live in Oz)!
Hope you enjoyed, let me know if you love any of these products too!
