Something I’ve been using almost everyday has been the Nyx products from the Nyx Flagship Store Event. I picked up the gorgeous NYX Strobe of Genius Illuminating Palette (RRP $29.95) and I’ve been using it constantly since. Some gorgeous colours (both wearable and ones for more daring looks) and the powder is very finely milled. I wouldn’t say it has the same softness or buttery-ness as higher end highlighters like Becca Cosmetics, but they are definitely good quality. If you’re interested in a full review, one will be on the blog later in the month.
As always, I’ve been loving my Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution (RRP $31.99 – 250mL) I’ve been swapping between Sensibio and Hydrabio this year, you can read about the differences between the two in this post. While I ocassionally dabble in other cleansing waters, I always come back to my tried and true.
Another favourite from the lovely France Pharmaceuticals is Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse (RRP $42.95), a multi-purpose dry-oil. I love the scent of this oil and I’ve been using it at night after my shower for extra hydration. I also like using it on the ends of my hair seeing as they are a bit dry and over-processed.
Another hair product I’ve been using is the Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Mask (RRP $15.99). I actually used to use this product quite frequently a few years ago, and I’ve only just rediscovered it again recently. I love finding those products that you have no idea why you stopped using it in the first place!
Another favourite for November as well as December has been the Etude House My Lash Serum (RRP US$5.90). One of my friends was kind enough to pick this up for me recently as she loves her own. I haven’t seen a great deal of growth in my lashes, but they definitely feel thicker and more nourished.
A bit of a random favourite for last, but I really wanted to share it with you, as it will hopefully help make a few posts on The Minted Blog in the future make a bit more sense! If you’ve got Netflix, I highly recommend watching Minimalism, a documentary about starting a minimalist lifestyle. I know you’re thinking that a beauty blogger couldn’t possibly be a minimalist, but I am determined to try. Even if you don’t plan on throwing everything away, it’s sometimes good to review and get perspective on the things you own, and how you use them. If you end up watching it (or already have!) let me know in the comments so we can chat about it!
What were your favourites this December?
